Tóm tắt Abdominal pain, vomiting, and constipation were highly prevalent symptoms, with percentages of 94.5%, 76.3%, and 51%, respectively. Dehydration was the most common systemic sign, accounting for 16.3% of cases, and shock syndrome was found in 3 patients (5.4%).On CT scan, bowel dilation, air-fluid levels, and the presence of transition point were common signs of bowel obstruction, with percentages of 94.5%, 96.4%, and 90.9%. The sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing the cause of bowel obstruction due to tumors were the highest (90% and 100%) on CT scan. The diagnosis of obstruction caused by bands and adhesions had low sensitivity (78.3% and 59.1%).The sensitivity and specificity of CT for diagnosing bowel wall ischemia were 66.7% and 95.7%. The diagnosis of ascites had a sensitivity of 65.8%, specificity of 100%, PPV of 100% and NPV of 56.7%.The presence of two transition points had a sensitivity of 92.9% and specificity of 97.6% in the diagnosis of closed-loop obstruction
