Tóm tắt This new edition provides practical guidance on biosafety techniques for use at all levels, from basic laboratories in district hospitals dealing principally with routine samples that are not likely to present any special risk, to maximum containment laboratories that regularly handle dangerous pathogens. In addition to describing the equipment and techniques to be used at each level, the manual contains details of training courses appropriate for all laboratory staff, guidelines on chemical, fire and electrical safety, and consideration of approaches to the organization of an effective safety programme. A Ỏsafety checklistÕ covering all aspects of laboratory safety, will be a useful starting-point for anyone reviewing existing procedures or planning to introduce a new safety programme.
