Tóm tắt The number of study records increased over time, with a sharp rise during the COVID-19 pandemic. Domestic sponsors eventually outnumbered international ones. Most studies were interventional, but later-phase trials declined. Although completion rates were relatively high, they dropped significantly (by ~51%). Most studies were completed within 1–3 years, yet over 80% have not published results. Infectious diseases were the most common focus but declined, while neoplasms, circulatory, and mental disorders rose. Drugs dominated, especially synthetic drugs and vaccines. Surgical procedures were the main focus of procedural trials. Nearly half of the studies involved both adults and older adults; studies solely on older adults were rare
