Tóm tắt The WHO method is a reliable means of securing the data needed for determining airborne fibre number concentrations; it also responds to the need for an internationally applicable method capable of producing comparable results when used by different laboratories and analysts. Technical specifications for the necessary equipment, including filters, filter holders, sampling pumps and elements of the phase-contrast optical microscopy system are described in detail. Moreover, step-by-step procedures are presented for verification of the equipment used, sampling, sample preparation, fibre counting and calculation of results.
